The journey began with an exploration of Japanese minimalism and vibrant traditional motifs. The design team aimed tostrike a balancebetween the calm, serene undertones of Japanese art and the electrifying energy that Nomu represents. The processinvolved meticulous research into Japanese culture, incorporating elements like traditional brushstrokes, bold typography, and clean geometry.
To capture the essence of Japanese design, the typography features a mix of sans-serif Latin and stylized Japanesecharacters, creating a global yet authentic appeal. The layout is clean and structured,embracing negative space to allow the bold accents and illustrative elements to shine without overwhelming the viewer. Textures, such as subtle brush marks or traditional paper grain, adddepth, while the drink's essentialdetailsarepresentedinamodern,accessibleformat.
Package Design
The packaging design for Nomu energy drink reflects a fusion of minimalism and vibrancy, inspired by Japanese aesthetics. The off-white base provides a clean and calming canvas, while the flowing red brushstroke patterns evoke a sense of dynamic energy and movement. The vertical typography, reminiscent of traditional Japanese kanji, adds an authentic cultural touch while maintaining a contemporary look.
